SCHRAT have made a fantastic name for themselves within the Black Metal underground. The band, active since 2003, can already look back on three albums and is about to release their new album "Seelenfresser". Like its predecessor "Alptraumgänger," the album will be released via Folter Records and thematically lives in the same cosmos as the last albums.

Album concept:
In "Seelenfresser" (soul eater) the "Schrat" is the main control part of a three-headed creature bringing the apocalypse over humanity in a conceptual inverted bible invocation over three sections. Dead people make the heads grow and activate the power of runes they use to bring more death. This misanthropic creature symbolizes the unholy trinity working against humanity.

The difference to the three predecessors - albums "Bestimmung - Raserei", "Schattenwahn" & "Alptraumgänger" is the common thread and the connection of all songs excepting "Baphomet". The "Schrat" is still a mystical anti-human nature spirit and protector of Gaia. The lyrical themes nature, misanthropy, rune magic, pest, suffering and death only have different focuses depending on the respective publications.
