WHISKEY RITUAL melden sich nach drei Jahren und unzähligen Shows voller Zerstörungen, Whiskey und brutalen Erinnerungen mit ihrem fünften Album wieder. Es stellt eine Zäsur dar. Denn die Italiener sind anders an ihr neuestes Werk gegangen als in der Vergangenheit und herausgekommen ist „Kings“.
Ein Album voller Grausamkeit und Dekadenz – gleichzeitig aber natürlich immer noch voller Punk: Ein respektloser Mittelfinger in die heutige Gesellschaft.
Es hat sich eine Spur mehr Dramatik eingeschlichen, die aber nötig ist, um WHISKEY RITUAL im Jahre 2022 wieder zu spiegeln. Denn „Kings“ repräsentiert zu 100 % wofür die Band steht – eine Hommage an die alten Legenden, die in der Szene waren und jene, die sie mit knirschenden Zähnen und der richtigen Einstellung noch heute tragen. Ein brutaler Mittelfinger, der auch live dafür sorgen wird, dass das Publikum auf die Bühne springt, um gemeinsam mit WHISKEY RITUAL dem Black Metal Punk zu huldigen.
Die Scheibe wurde in Schweden im Necromorbus Studio von Tore Stjerna gemischt, gemastert und in ein passendes Klanggewand gehüllt. Ein dreckiger, eingängiger Bastard, der einmal mehr zeigt, woher WHSIKEY RITUAL kommen und wo sie hinwollen: Von den Straßen, in die Stadien und dann auf den Thron.
