The band from Brandenburg is one of the oldest in the German underground and one
of those who authentically keep the flame of black metal blazing - as their new album
“Graveyard Planet” impressively proves.
If you want to listen to well-tempered post-black metal, “Graveyard Planet” is a bad
choice, because on their fifth album DARKMOON WARRIOR once again celebrate
traditional material through and through in their usual confident and vicious manner.
Pitch-black, mighty hymns like “Magna Matris Mortem” or “Age Of Decomposition” are
as raw as they are sublimely melodic and are among the best the band has ever
written.
As the guys are advocates of true diversity, they also serve up brute, Teutonic thrash
riffs in the old Sodom manner and, as has long been their good, rotten way, dirty
black'n'roll. - Keep the flame burning!
