Their canon is vast and varied - VERY relatively so, given that this is all-caps BLACK METAL after all - with the longstanding duo of instrumentalist Ungod and vocalist Nadir exploring the darkest corridors of their souls every step of the way. They've did so across a half-dozen albums for such esteemed labels as Drakkar, Obscure Abhorrence, and Old Temple among others as well as a dozen splits, but then joined forces with PURITY THROUGH FIRE in 2020 for the release of their seventh album, Misty Breath of Ancient Forests. Indeed, that album was aptly titled, for it saw SAD delivering their most ancient work in many moons. But the Greek duo are ever surprising, and nearly four years later do they emerge from the shadows with the fully-fuck-off Black Metal Craft. It's no accident that the album is titled such, as it reasserts the purity at the very heart of the SAD aesthetic and strips it to the fucking bone with ghoulish violence. Raw and rippling, here SAD somehow inject the melancholic melodicism of its Misty predecessor and then stir the maelstrom to a swirling boil, remaining hypnotic and locked-in whilst managing to gallop forth from time to time in a manner most regal. Put another way, Black Metal Craft could serve as a love letter to the late '90s heyday of Sombre Records or the aforementioned Drakkar, so old & cold its aesthetic (and, again, unapologetic its title). PURITY THROUGH FIRE is thus the most fitting stronghold for SAD's eternal black metal craft!

Dabei sind sie kein uninspiriertes Abbild einer alten Genregröße, sondern schmieden vielmehr kompromisslos ihren eigenen, authentischen Schwarzstahl, der sich vielfach im Angriffsmodus befindet, sich in Kompositionen wie »Spirits In Fire« oder »Infestation« aber auch zu erhabener, mystischer Größe aufschwingt. Nach einer mehrjährigen Schaffenspause hatten sich die Bajuwaren AMYSTERY 2018 mit einer veränderten Besetzung wieder zusammengeschlossen, um gemeinsam weiter an neuem Material zu arbeiten. Im Sommer 2021 kam es erneut zu einem Besetzungswechsel, seitdem besteht die Band aus drei Personen: Grond (Drums), Culpa (Bass) und Nephesus (Vocals, Gitarre).AMYSTERY ist keine Band, bei der ein neues Album daraus erwächst, dass sich Individuen gegenseitig im Alleingang aufgenommene Tondateien auf die Rechner schicken – die Ideen, Riffs etc. für die zehn Songs von »Chaos Empire Satan« wurden gemeinsam im Proberaum gesammelt und dort ausgearbeitet. Auf ihrer Tour im Februar 2023 wurden bereits drei neue Stücke präsentiert, die restlichen sechs entstanden im Zeitraum bis Dezember 2023.Inhaltlich behandelt »Chaos Empire Satan« die Theorien und Macht der Chaosmagie nach Peter James Carroll und beschreibt die dazugehörigen Praktiken und Auswirkungen auf das Leben und die Seele. Darüber hinaus geht es um die Ambivalenz zwischen der vermeintlichen Nichtigkeit des irdischen Lebens im kosmischen und multidimensionalen Maßstab und der Größe des eigenen persönlichen (Multi-)Universums mit der daraus erwachsenden maximalen Gestaltungsfreiheit, Wirksamkeit und Einflussnahme. AMYSTERY als Band zelebriert diese Überzeugung, was bereits im Vorgängeralbum »All Hail The Cult« eine tragende Rolle spielte und nun im neuen Album noch mehr ins Zentrum gerückt wurde.Aufgenommen wurde das Album im Januar 2024. Das Cover-Artwork wurde von Malphas (ex-AMYSTERY, ex-Lunar Aurora, Mortem Agmen) gezeichnet, die grafische Gestaltung wurde von Lense Of Sense übernommen.

We at Folter Records have the honor of presenting "Pächschwarz", the 4th album by the Bernese band. Anyone who has already dealt with the formation around frontman Szivilizs in recent years knows that CHOTZÄ have developed over their previous three albums from an initially rumbly-aggressive black metal band with punk influences ("Plump u Primitiv", 2014 and 2021) to a technically adept and consistently complex structured band ("Tüüfuswärk", 2020).Now, a good 4 years after "Tüüfuswärk", they are releasing their next piece of puke, which borrows heavily from the song structures of "Plump u Primitiv", the re-recorded version of which was also released by Folter Records in 2021. Fans of the band can therefore look forward to seeing what roar-along anthems CHOTZÄ have in store for them on their new album. But CHOTZÄ wouldn't be the band they are if "Pächschwarz" didn't also document an impressive development of their music … If you want to be transported back to the dark corners of Bern and have Szivilizs spit in your face in his usual Bernese dialect, you should definitely make a note of the release date in your diary. The album was mixed and mastered at Iguana Studios by Christoph Brandes, who gave the band a thoroughly fitting sound for their latest album.

EP “The Moment of Storm” has been composed and recorded in 2017 with the help of Alexander Kasiarum on drums (ex-Joncofy) and mixed by Oleg Olgerd Rubanov (1914, Vin De Mia Trix, Kroda) at MuzProduction Recordings, Lviv, Ukraine. In late 2021 Dmytro met Arkadiusz Niziołek (ex-Sacrilegium) in Gdansk, Poland who convinced him to push on the release. Quickly after that Marcin Urban (ex-Sacrilegium) took over on the guitars and Jakub Milszewski joined on bass. After the start of russo-Ukrainian war in 2022 THREE EYES OF THE VOID decided to release the material as quickly as possible and with help of David Deutsch from 1408-Productions (The Hirsch Effekt, Heretoir) started working on new material for the album to be released in 2023.

SERMONS OF THE BLACK FLAME is once again pure Black Metal, committed to the traditions of the Scandinavian school - but even more varied and epic than its two predecessors. Drummer Tempestas comments in an interview with Undergrounded.de: "We don't want to write songs that go down easily and that you get tired of after three listens. For us, the artistic aspect and the philosophy behind it are very important."
