AMYSTERY

CHOTZÄ, the formation from Bern, the federal city of
Switzerland, is no longer a blank sheet of paper when it comes to producing
rancid and driving black 'n' roll. We at Folter Records have the honor of
presenting "Pächschwarz", the 4th album by the Bernese band.
Anyone who has already dealt with the formation around
frontman Szivilizs in recent years knows that CHOTZÄ have developed over their
previous three albums from an initially rumbly-aggressive black metal band with
punk influences ("Plump u Primitiv", 2014 and 2021) to a technically
adept and consistently complex structured band ("Tüüfuswärk",
2020).Now, a good 4 years after "Tüüfuswärk", they are releasing
their next piece of puke, which borrows heavily from the song structures of
"Plump u Primitiv", the re-recorded version of which was also
released by Folter Records in 2021.
Fans of the band can therefore look forward to seeing
what roar-along anthems CHOTZÄ have in store for them on their new album. But
CHOTZÄ wouldn't be the band they are if "Pächschwarz" didn't also
document an impressive development of their music …
If you want to be transported back to the dark corners
of Bern and have Szivilizs spit in your face in his usual Bernese dialect, you
should definitely make a note of the release date in your diary.
The album was mixed and mastered at Iguana Studios by
Christoph Brandes, who gave the band a thoroughly fitting sound for their
latest album.

CHOTZÄ was founded in 2011 by Szivilizs in
Bern/Switzerland. The band's lyrics are written in their mother tongue
"Bärndütsch", one of many Swiss-German dialects. Right from the
start, CHÖTZA's idiosyncratic Black'n'Roll attracted attention in the scene -
live, as well as on recordings. After several changes in the line-up, Cpt. Cunt
joined as drummer.
CHOTZÄ released several demos, including "Hass
Musig" (2012), which laid the foundation for the debut album "Plump u
Primitiv" (2014). The second album "Bärner Bläck Metal Terror"
was released on CD, vinyl and tape and received an overwhelming response in the
underground scene. The third strike was the album "Tüüfuswärk"
(2020), which solidified the band's standing in Switzerland and the
international underground. The participation of Mr. Morbid (Forgotten Tomb) on
the track "Dräck am Schtäckä" is also worth mentioning. The line-up
changed constantly during this phase and finally led to the final line-up with
Szivilizs (guitar, bass and vocals) and Raven Dust (lead guitar, also active
with Malphas).
After ten years of band development, the anniversary
album "Plump u Primitv (10 Jahr Furchtbar)" will now be released on
Folter Records in June. For this, the complete debut was re-recorded , mixed
and mastered by the sound veteran at Irsins Sound.
Additionally, two previously unreleased tracks were
added as a bonus. The musical style remains dirty Black'n'Roll with a good
portion of Punk attitude, but comes in a much more powerful sound than in the
past, without missing the raw, unbridled spirit of the founding years.

DARKMOON WARRIOR were founded in 1996 by Atom Krieg and Grommon. At first, it was a project that focused on the mix of Dark Noise and Ambient. The duo was influenced by bands like Abruptum and
Neptune Towers. First two demos were created. But the band developed rapidly and focused more on traditional Black Metal, which was first to be heard on the "Son of Loki" demo (2001).
But times were not always easy, and DARKMOON WARRIOR had to struggle with line-up changes. In 2005, the debut album "In Fundis Inferiorum" was released, which brought the band to greater
attention in the Black Metal underground for the first time. At that time, the entourage understood themselves as a studio band exclusively. It was not until 2009, after the release of their second album
"Crown Of Snakes", that the band decided to play live. This was followed by single gigs, festival shows and short tours in Germany and the surrounding countries. In 2013, the third album "Nuke 'em all" was
released. As in previous years, DARKMOON WARRIOR played a few shows and began to work on the successor. As a result, there were creative disagreements within the band, so founding member
Grommon left the band in 2018. Undeterred, the remaining members began recording the new album "Angels of dirt - Beasts of rebellion". Meanwhile, as a trio on the road, the band goes on to work on
their path of hateful, but at the same time emotional and dark Black Metal. As part of the planning for the release, the band joined the Berlin scene label Folter Records.

– Keep the flame burning!
erhalten.
